Check out this review to see if Harley Davidson's LiveWire would make a good replacement for our ageing ST's...  :whistle  :rofl

So,  it can't do distance, and it doesn't seem to like twisties either - what else is there to motorcycling?  It's a $50,000 commuter.

In "A long way Up" Actor Ewan McGregor and his friend, Charley Boorman, travel 13,000 miles around Central and South America on electric Harley Davidson motorcycles.

I watched that series and they had back-up vehicles following them most of the way plus they were constantly worrying about making the distance between charges.

And if my memory serves me correctly, at one point they also had to deal with a completely flat auxiliary battery and had to then dismantle half the bike to access it... :||||  >:()

Personally, I reckon they have a long way to go before electric bikes become anywhere near an option as a replacement for the ST...or any other decent touring orientated motorcycle for that matter...
