Thought it might be a good idea to put all the spot links in one place so they don't get lost in the National Rally thread

spot 38 - "road works incident,all ok"
Hopefully all is ok !
-
Yep im home
Lost control of bike at 40kms or less (Roadworks I was warned about) . I think the tyres mudded up and sideways she came. Soon after the water truck
The people behind me said nearly got it back , but then I hit dry ground and got thrown.
Did the hip and shoulder roll . The leatherman hurt the most
Helmet doesn't look like it hit the ground
Will see how I feel in the morning
But right now I feel like Sht.
-
Glad to hear your OK, Gavo, besides feeling SHT.
How's the bike ??
-

How's the bike ??
Bikes crook enough that Robs plan was to jump on his other bike......See how he feels this morning...better sitting in his lounge chair at home with aches and pains than halfway across :think1
We are all thinking of you Gavo :-++

Where all thinking of you Gavo :-++
No good Gavo. Hope all is all right mate :H
-
Roadworks! Hate 'em for many reasons. They don't have to be as bad as they are but unfortunately they're a fact of life.
I've heard it said before it's what's in your pockets that will hurt you when you hit the ground. A good reminder at Gavo's expense.
I guess at least if you come off on roadworks there's a strong likelihood the ground will be softer than bitumen.
Trust you're feeling like having another go, Gavo, but it's a long way to carry bruises.
-
Very sad news Gavo :'(
I hope the damage to the bike isn't too bad and that you feel better soon mate
-
No good Gavo. Did you have the trailer on?
:wht11
-
Hope you and the bike are ok. At least it happened closer to home.
-
At least it happened closer to home.
Yeah, only a 600 K ride home hurting on a sick bike... East for a Sandgroper.. ;-*
-
Looks like Pete got a quick spot fishing in on his amphibious bike off the west coast of NZ.
The lengths some people go to for furthest travelled awards !

Gavo is back on the road on the 1100 i would assume ++

Looks like he avoided the road works as well. Gavo will probably still make his target time.

gavo was on the wing originally, now on the 13, still has the 11 as a 3rd backup
-
Was interesting to REALLY look at StinkyPetes bubbler.......had time for spot of fishing off the South Island of NZ.......then wandered all over the Caravan Park at Moree boob trapping the perimeter and a nice meal at the Tavern.....even used the stall in the men's room second from the left o:)
The moral of the story I guess is turn the app off when you reach your destination :crackup

There is method in this apparent madness you can almost guarantee it.

A few laps of The Doom is a tidy way to build some kays towards a target. OzSTOC shares the guilt. :grin
-
Lol... thought it would be something along those lines.
-
The aim is to maximise distance in 110kph zones, do the night bits on the relatively safer roads.
-
Gavo seems to be doing pretty well, he will be in Kimba shortly, and port Augusta soonish. Wont be long before he starts the up hill run to Toowoomba.
-
Go Go Gadget man sorry Gavo :grin
:wht11

Mrs Biggles and I will be departing after work tomorrow. :runyay

I have updated my link for the return trip to ACT.
The end date is now extended to 24 March. I should make it back by then.
-
Sorry to the folk who checked my link. It didn't work.
Here it is in SPOT:

Wrong link Biggles, requires login
Should have a link like this I think

-
But Brock, that shows Kinross ..... nobody goes there !!!!
-
:well :well :well

Wrong link Biggles, requires login
You're right about the second one. I'll edit it out.
But the first one shows it all for the next 30 days when SPOT takes it down.
I need to debug my Spotwalla account. I had an email from them which indicated they'd lost my SPOT link. I thought I'd fixed it, but that's 'puters and the net for ya!
(Spotwalla picks up the data from "FindMySpot" and presents it differently and "permanently").
-
Lionel's spot link is still active for his Iba ride now underway

12 hrs down....i will keep an eye out till midnightish :grin
-
Gavo has encountered a minor problem it seems. He is at Walleroo but the ferry isnt..
He seems to be taking his time on the return leg..
:popcorn
-
Looks like Gavo"s boat never came in, he is headed for Port Augusta.
-
We are stopping at Portland tonight. Left too late to make Mount Gambier. GOR was very slow going in the wet too.
-
Hope you catch up with Kev then.
-
At the pub in Portland now.
-
Gavo is in Port Lincoln, guess he lost a few hours thanks to no ferry.
-
I heard a while back that the ferry was going to be canned, apparently cost was a factor and only a couple of trips per day.
-
Gavo is on the move, heading for streaky bay by the looks of it.
-
Gavo is on the move, heading for streaky bay by the looks of it.
He's not much into shortcuts, I notice!
-
Probably due to his having ridden to Toowoomba twice on the way over.
-
Gavo's heading west big-time.
Looks like he's caught a dose of "Get-home-itis" after being a tourist for the day.
-
Its probably a case of "Nothing to see here, move along now"
:popcorn
-
Looks like Gavo has stopped for the night, as he seems to be stopped in a parking bay.
:thumb

His SPOT note says "goodnight Brock" so he's hoping you're watching.
-
I sent him a text earlier to say that his progress was being monitored, I guess he got it.. :grin
-
He's back in the home State. Stopped to pick up a few fruit flies, apparently.
Big push for home?
-
Gavo is still on the move, heading for Cocklebiddy, I think he may prop there for the night, but I could be wrong. Or he could continue to Caiguna may be.
:popcorn
https://spotwalla.com/tripViewer.php?id=c7805505770eb6cac
-
Gavo is at Cocklebiddy, now to see if he stays there or goes to Caiguna. Its only 40Ks away.
What ever he does, its only 11 or 12 hours to home depending on length of stay at fuel/rest stops.
So the sweep starts at 1800Hs tomorrow.
-
Well, he hasnt stopped, currently on the 150K dead straight bit of road, headed for Balladonia.
-
Gavo has parked up for the night, he has a covered shelter to camp under. He is about 15 minutes west of Caiguna
-

There's rain moving towards him by the looks of it. The cover might come in handy soon.
-
Gavo has hhad a food stop at Balladonia, and is on his way to Norseman
-
His link said the rain arrived at 3:30am. He would have been glad he was under cover.
The rain won't have improved the Coolgardie roadworks for him.
-
sent a text to Pezzz, he is going to turn data off when he leaves BV, will see if bubbler still updates every 10 mins.
-

It's showing him in Norseman now.
The Spots are 10 minutes apart, so it's all good.
-
Made it through Coolgardie, and is heading for Southern Cross.
-
Gavo has stopped for the night at Southern Cross, probly weather influenced.
Looking at satellite view, he has parked behind the servo.
-
Gavo is still at Southern Cross, but its only a three hour ride home now, so he can afford a latish start and a good breakfast.
-
Now in Merridin, not far now
-
Gavo has arrived Home.
After a good nap he will probably pop in for a visit.
-
Hopefully he can tell me what to expect in the way of roadworks tomorrow.
-
Gavo called me earlier and looks like it may be interesting tomorrow. Hopefully all good if weather holds overnight.
-
Home now. Ride report in next few days. 6303km all up. What an awesome adventure.
-
You need to set up a spot link on your phone Pezzz.
Bubbler id pretty good.
-
Check post number 22 Brock. Bubbler has been running for 2 weeks now.
-
Bugger,
Missed it.
:||||
-
Hahahahaa ..... No problem. Had a great ride.
