RR - QLD RTE 2 July 2017 - Tripsy to Tipsy

This is my RR from the QLD RTE 2 July 2017 - Tripsy to Tipsy

The day started with me getting home from work and finding the Wife Carrol wasn't doing well (Very sore shoulder and arm)
So we decided to take the car to make it easier on her (Although I was thinking the ST would have been a better option all the way to Tipsy's)

Anyway we headed off at about 10 and stopped at Subway to grab some lunch where we met up with JF3000
JF3000 had a special gift with him that he had made up for Tipsy with him that he had been getting everyone to sign

So after signing we continued on and a short time later we had met up with everyone at Tipsy's


   

   

   

   

Everyone had a feed, a great chat and signed the special gift




Anyway without further ado on to the special gift...

JF3000 had collected up a number of pictures of Tipsy and arranged them into an awesome print and framed it.
To top it off he drove it all over the place to get it signed by a number of people that couldn't make the RTE








It turned out great and Tipsy loved it

After all this we got together and Carrol took some group photos

   

   



Well that's about it, we said our goodbyes and headed home so I could get some sleep
All in all it was an awesome day out

As a final note, whenever ANYONE is in the area, please stop by Tipsy's to sign the back of the frame and say hi

Opened up on my phone and cannot see any pics...only little image icons???

Imgur has it's days.  I think it's just easier to attach photos to your post, like this:

The reason I'm not just attaching the pics to the post is that the pictures only display at the bottom of the post and can't be placed within the text.

I think it's just easier to attach photos to your post, like this:

It's ok sometimes but there are times when the image is best placed within the text.

The other alternative is to use a blog site for a ride report etc. and just put a link to it like this http://st1100a.blogspot.com.au/2016/09/western-australia-trip-september-2016.html

Unfortunately, Flickr doesn't show photos on my computer, so it seems that's not a universal solution to the hosting puzzle.

I actually open the photos by right clicking and selecting open image in new tab the click on reload in that page.
and saved them into my home album.

That's odd- when I reload the page I can see the pix.
It looks like there will be a bit of a transition while we find a workable alternative to Photobucket.
I do appreciate their problem- they can't go on hosting material for free forever- the volume of storage required becomes unsupportable.
I'm happy to pay $2.49 per month for up to 500mb.  User pays is a fact of life, and we've been spoilt by "free internet".  It's also a fact of life that advertising dollars will become more stretched as the internet keeps expanding by the second.
