I was running a bit late, (rebuilding two computers) and still had to refuel, so I went straight to Maleny arriving at 9:03am. I rode through the Maleny village centre looking for ST's. I didn't see any so I thought I must have missed them. Headed up out of town and on what must be the only level ground and road in Maleny, there was Diesel, Mrs Diesel, IanB and Helen waiting.

Are quick pleasantries we were off.
After a bit of enthusiastic riding through the early twistites and before I got to the next set, a rider coming the other way made a strange gesture with his left hand as he rode past. I assumed he meant for me to take it carefully for a hazard on the road, so I proceed with the appropriate caution. I rode carefully through the twisty bit before the Bellbird Cafe finding the "hazard" a White Toyota 4WD with red and blue party lights on top.
Having been a little exuberant in the previous set of twisties (and a couple of road work traffic lights, I arrived at the cafe about 2 minutes ahead of Diesel, IanB and co, so I waited at the entrance to the cafe. While I was waiting another couple arrived and said g'day.
We managed to get a table on the verandah and have a lovely morning tea with about 11 or 12 of us there. A syou know I'm not good with remembering names, but I can remember we met Snake for the first time and had an interesting chat about mining operation. We heard tales of the couple from Warwick who had made it an epic journey to the cafe having left home Thursday morning,

and travelled through some interesting country.
After a long chat, good coffee, (and a couple of large Melting Moments for me) and what looked like delicious snacks and meals for others, we said our farewells, and started making our way home. IanB, Diesel and I chose to head back via the Obi Obi Rd to Mapelton where we waved goodbye to IanB and Helen. Diesel, Mrs Diesel and I headed on towards Flaxton, were we took a detour down Philipps Rd, Dulong Rd to Palmwoods. From there we headed to Mooloolah were we stopped so Diesel could check his Tyres pressures as he thought they were low,

They were higher than expected. Assured that they weren't low we proceeded towards home. From Moloolah we took the tunnel ridge road through to Landsborough and the old Gympie Rd to Beerburum Rd and continued on towards Caboolture. North of Caboolture I waved goodbye to Diesel and Mrs Diesel. I proceeded form there through Caboolture and Morayfield and Burpengary and managed to stay off the slab all the way home.
I had a great time and enjoyed myself.
I am getting in as much riding as I can before the operation, a Biceps Tendonesis & cuff repair on the right-hand side as well as a trigger release on the little finger. Post op will be 2 weeks in a sling and 3 Months of not lifting anything heavy with the right hand.
(I think the bike might be considered heavy)Anyway a great day out again!
