«

After an evening ride last night, this morning I put my ST on the centre stand and drip drip drip.I found the problem right side hose .
I'll have to pull him apart tonight and dread dread lift off the carbi's and fix him before friday to do my 1st FarRide to Mallacoota.
This will be a learning curve for me,, hopefully I succeed after reading all the relavent posts I could find. I'm goin cut the hose add a pipe and trim of the end thats bugger'd , reconnect to elbow...as a quik fix and if I remember I'll take some pix
wish me luck.

the leaking hose
the water track left in V
no corrosion on the elbow
all his bits in my "not really a man cave" garage
I hope I get it back together quik and he runs wivout hassle so I do my first Far Ride.

Those elbows were prone to cracking though mine were ok when I replaced all the hoses etc earlier this year.

I didn't remove the tank when I did mine as it looked as if I didn't need to.

I have one spare original elbow if anyone needs one. Only 120,000kms or so old, but its sister one did have a crack in it. I would suggest having two new ones on hand if you are going to keep the bike, and do the elbows and hoses at a major service which needs a bit of bodywork taken off.
