Heard you were in town
« on: June 07, 2016, 08:14:21 AM »
  Ourselves and Wild Rose couldn't make it to the Esk RTE because of medical and wedding commitments. But it just so happened that Leo, Robyn (Mrs Wild Rose) and I were in the same town at the same time, so we had our own OzSTOC mini meet up, for coffee and a catch up.

It was good to catch up John one of our North Queensland members on a beautiful day in Mackay
A nice coffee with breakfast at the Coffee Club
And even had a chat about our ST1300  ++
Thanks mate for the suggestion  :grin

So what's this bleating about lack of activity north of Brisbane!?
Here's the evidence it's happening, and in full regalia, what's more!
Well done, blokes.    ++

John, one of these days you'll get more than one other OZSTOCer to a CQ event.  Maybe have to do our own Yeppoon thing?

Cheers

Yepoon, Carmilla, Clairview, Emerald, Clermont, Capella, etc.

 Any time you like. Make it an overnighter at this time of the year and you are sure to get some grey nomads from down south come up to thaw out.

  Hey David, just to let you, and I suppose the rest of the OzSTOC membership, know that myself and Kate haven't been able to get around on Miss Scarlett lately.  The pillion / quartermaster / navigator  has just had urgent back surgery and won't be able to enjoy the delights of a ride on Miss Scarlett for at least the next couple of months. However I do have her blessing to go out solo for a while, as my shift schedule allows.

  Now, Yeppoon - YES.  :thumbs  David  that would be a great RTE location for us OzSTOC members living in the CQ or even the NQ areas. Let's suggest that Kate and I act as an overnight pit-stop for NQ members proposing to come down for this one.

  David, because I'm going to be tied up for the next week or so, could I ask you to carry the baton on this idea. Maybe PM GOMAC45, wheelbarrow and/or cruiza (George, George or Michael) for some ideas on venues with good food, coffee and space for our STeeds. Also have a look at a previous Yeppoon RTE back in June 2014, for some inspiration.

 Over to you mate. Get back to me, Shiney or Gadget whenever you need to.
