Ashamed?
« on: August 26, 2013, 11:40:16 AM »
We just had an evacuation where I work - fire alarm went off, firies turned up, etc.

While waiting at the muster point, one of the wardens approached me and informed me the alarm went off due to a detector in the basement right where I parked my bike.

My first thought was: "I can't imagine changing the oil & filter on my ST1300 yesterday could trigger an electrical fire, 2 hours after I parked it".

My second thought was: "If it went up in flames, what would I replace it with?"

 :well :-((( >:() :-[

I did get to hand out an OzSToc card to someone working on the same floor who's hubby rides a white ST1100.  :runyay

It almost sounded like the ST13 was to blame!  We know they're hot, but to set off a heat detector!!  Wow!  And it's not even summer!

I did eventually make my way back down to the basement, hoping to find Little Miss STealthy unharmed - and I did.

Even though she's not up with the jargon, at least it appears she's resigned to your acquiring more essential items.
It's nearly Fathers' Day.  Go shopping and let her wrap them for you as presents.

What a great turn of phrase.   You're good, and could easily put one over your bride.   :-++ :-++

Why on earth would you facilitate a gang-up?  At least you've got a tiny chance when it's one against one!
