Lionel,  glad to hear your not broken, and your Guardian Angel was pillion ing with you and your gear protected you. ungraceful dismount  :fp on  highways often have a different finale. STeeds can B fixed, but broken bones and torn  skin take  longer t fix.
I m'  also so glad there are people who still care enough to stop and assist others, my story will be in my DNF report,
Along with Abe and others if there's help I can provide, dont hesitate  to ask. if I can I will
Picton  if it doesn’t flood higher than previous times.

Good onya Lionel for bouncing like a squash ball - glad to hear it could have been much worse!     :-++

To Gary - congratulations on achieving that FarRider number. You can feel proud of a job well done. Your planning and equipment have to be first class in order to succeed in this achievement. Enjoy your spoils - and pls update your avatar to reflect your shiny new FarRider number.      :hatwave

Here are a couple of shots I got at the finish line....

PS - great to see OzSTOC Members Saaz, Beatup and Leo (Wild Rose) out there too.      :thumbsup

Leo told me that this was his 2nd FarRide - the first being in 2009 where he met the great "Davo" (FarRider #1)     :rockon

Came in late to this thread (been sulking because I had been housebound due exhausting my goodwill Brownie points going to Lake Cargelligo). Sorry to hear you came off the ST, Lionel.  You're not a small package, so the potential for damage was significant.  Don't discount those guardian angels. Sounds like they had a busy weekend, taking comfort and hot stew to Johnny and probably bailing out others we don't know about. Great to read there was one there to drive you to Sydney when you can't fly yourself!    :thumbsup
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott
