Oh what a difference a ride to the border makes
« on: April 08, 2014, 10:48:38 PM »
Early Friday morning I left home heading for the Border Village on

Friday night I spent in the old Railroad Hotel in Norseman
Saturday afternoon at Border Village I met my friend Steve who had riden from Victor Harnbor and we parked the bikes outside our room

Sunday night saw me back in the Railroad Hotel Norseman

Monday night saw me at home with my new bike

Now all I need to to do is change the registration.
Why ? Well the new GL is 12 years younger, the SE model, has about 45,000kms less and of cause it is RED.

did you keep your lightweight battery, looks like you will need it with all those width and navigation lights.

Sweet looking ride.

Light weight battery is for the ST. The Goldwing has a heavy duty alternator fitted to it.

Think I would need a bigger one, with a higher CCA rating, for the wing

The screen looks the same as mine get rid of it, if it rains hard you'll have to stop because you can't see through it.  :eek

So do you have two red 'Wings in the shed or did you sell the Brisbane one?
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott
