Ferret as a passenger

No, you heard right.
I want to be able to take my ferret Copernicus with me on my rides.
I was thinking of a leather bottom wire mesh top cage I could strap to the air filter/tank cover.
Has any one taken there ferret for a ride ( so to speak ).
Any advise welcome.
There must be some ferret owners who ride ?

I think you will find that carrying an animal on the tank is illegal, unless its a working dog transiting between properties. So unless its a sheep round up ferret, it will have to ride on the back seat.

A Copper might want to know what kind of therapy a ferret can provide.
In all seriousness, I think he/she will have to go it a topbox arrangement and you communicate via bluetooth.

For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine.

I think the rules vary from state to state.
Qld banned pets on take a little while ago. I knew a note who rode with a small dog on the tank, (Great chick magnet) but he's not allow to any more.
Tipsy had a modified box strapped to his back seat for his Turvy dog.
The problem with a cage on the tank is in case of accident the cage impacts your chest.

Not something I would do myself.
We did meet an older couple who mounted one of those pet carriers for their little dog instead of modified top case. Seemed to work for them.
