Just a quick blast from the past... Many years ago when I owned a couple of taxis at Whyalla, there was one stormy night at Mambray creek that Dave just passed, that my cab was hit by lightning. One helluva BANG! the radio antenna on the roof was just a charred stub, and all wiring in the car was burned out. I rolled to a stop on the side of the road and had to wait for another car to stop, to relay a message to the cab company to send a tow truck. This was WAY before mobile phones. I was stuck there for almost 7 hours.
