Well, my bikes all cleaned up after the 4 day Easter ride and I'm ready to roll tomorrow (Well, as far as Lauries place anyway)  :thumbsup

Looking forward to catching up with old friends and meeting new ones, and putting faces to all the names.  :beer

I'm going to bring my camera gear with me so I will try and find a place to get some good "action shots" of the group on the ride Saturday.

See you all in Blackheath!!  :)

I am a John in real life (as opposed to a Dave which is quite common  :)  I know a few of these rascals as I have met them over the years (Greencan, Barry (& Marissa who is the best part), Diesel, Streak, Beatup - never met Laurie yet)  I too have a spare seat for any who may have the bike gear, but the LT1200 is probably a better place to be!  I still have to work on Terry and Lionel from Canberra to see if they are coming

How about you tell us all why the LT1200 is probably the "better" place to be on Friday night John (if that's your real name)  :grin

Barry is a Long Term OzSTOC Member, he has had the ST1100, the ST1300, at the moment he has an BMW LT1200, he has been involved longer and done more for this group than most.

This is the Honda ST Owners Group, some are past, most are present, and some are future ST Owners  :thumb

As with some other ST groups, I would not like to think that just because you change bikes sometimes means you just don't remain involved with people you get to know.  I have a Suzuki as well, for only 31 years.  The LT is a BMW K1200LT.  I think Streak puts it well..you may have owned an ST, still have an ST and may well get an ST..who knows what order the reasons are from time to time.

And just out of interest, for those with UHF CBs comms on the bike I will go to channel 18 as main channel (still scanning some of the others just in case) around Bathurst to Blackheath, unless others have a preferred channel.  Mobile will be on but I only use it to receive calls while riding.

Teela and i are heading for Port Macquarie Tomorrow, then onto Little Hartley just near Blackheath, my family has 5 acres there, and we will be getting to Blackheath on Friday morning.

I have sent by courier, all the rally shirts, badges, stickers, and stubbie coolers for those who need them.

if you are having any problems you can call me on 0428 729 106.

you all ride safe, and keep the rubber side down.

cheers

Pack for cold.  Sydney forecast 10o tomorrow, and Blackheath is much higher and inland (or so I'm told).   :)

Bring plenty of anti-fungal if you plan wearing your STOC shirt for four days   :eek

Well??? ...... Are we all excited???   I am.

I hope you're all half - or fully packed, have your route plan worked out, have done the 'once over' on your favourite ride, and put the petrol conditioner in for the run.

I should be there 11am-12 noon Friday, and will ride out Sunday 10am ish.

I am planning to get down to the lookout at Katoomba to see the vertical railway and the Three Sisters after brekky Saturday (before the special lunch ride), So if you want to be a part of this Posse, look me up Friday night and let me know to count you in.

Don't forget your OzSTOC shirt so we can see how many we'll capture - and bring a camera to put a few pics to your words for every other OzSTOC Member who can't be there.

Nice Vid Stringo - be gr8 to catch up again.

Steveo - take it easy - wished you were there too champ!

My mob is 0466 494 334 - so lock it in just in case you need to msg/call me for any 'unseens'.

Most importantly - keep it safe, enjoy the scenery and make the most of your holiday.     :thumbsup

See you all there Friday.

Cheers, Diesel

If you can't find anything better, I believe our cabin has two double bunks as well as a double bed.  You might be able to sub-let a bunk bed.   :)    There are 3 of us in that cabin, but a 4th for one night should be OK.

Let me know how you go.  I'm on 04 0000 6763.

Hey great tune that Dickie. I will download it to my mp3 player for the trip.   :eek

Harie, the rear seat is all yours for the Saturday ride.  :thumbsup Regrettably it is only a BMW seat so you'll have to lower your expectations for the day.  :crackup

As the other kind people have mentioned owning an ST may have been what originally brought us all together, but its the friendships that I've made through this group that I value most. Whether you own, have previously owned, plan to own, or just have an appreciation of the ST Honda, then I believe your welcome to be part of this great group.  :beer

I have previously owned the ST1100 and ST1300, and by the end of the year I will be an ST owner again. Though my next STeed will reside in New Zealand.  :)

I have all day to get to Lismore today so I'm thinking it will be a cruisey day  :wink1

Ride safe everyone and I'll see you all in Blackheath!

Ok, where are we heading on the Saturday ride?
http://g.co/maps/ake4r
We'll leave the Blackheath Caravan Park and head west to Hartley, where we turn onto the Janolan Caves road; then turn onto the Duckmaloi Road towards Oberon, blow through Oberon to the O'Connell Road, and turn off just before O'Connell towards Tarana, where we'll dine at the Tarana Hotel.
After our repast we then ride north through Lithgow, up the windy Scenic Hill (good twisties here), through to Bell where we turn onto the Darling Causeway to Mount Victoria before turning east back to Blackheath.
Plenty of twisties, good straight stretches, and lots of great scenery.
There'll be directions dotted here and there in case we get separated, like this:
Ulysses #41044; OzSTOC #14
0429796132
I love what I ride and ride what I love
