Not the sort of news I expected...

Glad the op went well, now for Whizz to get back on the bike.

Wonder if the hospital would believe it if 400 of his brothers turned up to visit????

***UPDATE ON WHIZZ***

I have just heard that Whizz has had a GOOD day - all progressing well.

He has been moved out of the high dependency unit to a single room, and - all going well - may even be sent home late tomorrow! (If he can convince the Docs).

He has "had enough of the hospital, and is desperate to get home!"   <----------- lol            :rofl

Sounds like all is well for our Pommie mate on the strength of that!

Thanks once again to Matylda for the update, and thanks to Whizz for listening to all the sound advice you're getting from your OzSTOC family!        :hatwave

Cheers, Diesel

***UPDATE ON WHIZZ***

Just got an email from Matylda regarding Paul's progress. Here it is, verbatim.....

I just wanted to let you all know that Paul is now at home - he somehow convinced the doctors that he should be allowed to go home. We will back at the hospital tomorrow to meet with the oncology brain tumor medical team to plan the next course of action.

While the prognosis is not what we were hoping for, both Paul and I, with your support, will give it all that we have to ensure what ever time we have is filled with love and positive energy to get the most out of everyday.

Thank you to each and everyone of you for your support, flowers, fruit, chocolates and well wishes. I will keep you updated if anything changes.

Regards Matylda

Thanks again for the update Matylda.

Seems like it's going to be a slow, steady climb out of there for Whizz folks. Whilst the news could have been much worse, it seems like Paul is going to need all the good vibes we can muster. I'm guessing the next update for us may come directly from Paul. Just wanna let you know mate - we're all supporting you and have everything we have, crossed for you and AJ.

All the best from here on in.

Sounds serious, but you're an ST Rider, and you can beat this thing!   :thumbs
All the very best for tomorrow's appointment.

Hey Diesel, this sounds like a perfect time to see how many ST's can fit in Whizz's driveway - yard - street - suburb to make sure he understands he has support from our family also.  Reading a forum is good, but a couple of mates calling around for a chat is always good.

Guys,
I was released from hospital this afternoon. I had a major operation on my head day before yesterday to remove a cancerous growth and I am still suffering very badly, but I have an appointment tomorrow with a collection of surgeons and neurologists and oncologists.

I will tell you all now that I am expecting to have nuclear medicine and oncology over the next few months and I am expecting that to give me about another 2 or 3 years of life. It's crap but I am going to try to survive as long as possible. I don't know whether I will be able to ride the bike again, but I'm sure as shit going to try.

I thank you all for your good thoughts and support, and I'll let you know fairly soon when the prognosis is.

Cheers All

Paul Howard
(Whizz)
Cheers,

Thanks Paul. I'm gunna say it... That's bloody SHYTE!

I suddenly find myself with nothing to complain about at all.

So far - those two lines have taken me 20 minutes to type!

It goes without saying mate, that we are all shocked and devastated by this news, and can only hope an pray for the best possible outcome for everyone through this.

It also goes without saying that you have our full support if you need anything to help you on this tough ride you are about to undertake.

I'm thinking we may have to have to have next year's National Rally at your place now - got room for 60 or 70?

Please stay in regular touch mate, as you have a lot of fans here who can only get progress reports on messages you or Matylda post here or txt me.

Go get 'em mate - you're only the hooker in a 400 strong scrum here OK?

All the best.

Cheers, Diesel
