Gee another hard day at the office. Yesterday the ST was washed, fueled and tyre pressures set so this morning it was a case of being on the bike a little before 9.00 and heading for Bakers Hill Pie Shop. Arrived about 10.00 after a nice easy ride along Roe and then the Great Eastern H'way. Picked up 4 lentil pasties for Theresa and had a lamington and choc milk for morning tea. Knowing that a pub lunch was next resisted the temptation of a pie.
After a chat with another bike rider who was on his way to Northam set of for the back roads to York and then on to Greenhills. A couple of ks east on the Great eastern H'way to Clackline and then a really nice (as in road surface) country road through to Spencers Brook. This continued towards York where the road went to average right at the welcome to York Shire sign. Then several ks of road works where the surface was often newly laid road base i.e gravel. On through York to Greenhills including a lovely fragrant section past a piggery.
I was still deciding where to park and when Gavo and Brom arrived followed shortly after by Yorkie who I noticed didn't mention anything about his eventful start to his day in the post above. Craig arrived just in time to place his order with us for lunch. A great hamburger for me.
I had then had to skip out early just as desert was being offered and had a quick run home until I caught up with the start of peak hour traffic, also a little hot with some areas of 34 and some 36 degrees. A total of 285 kms
