I went around to pick up Bruce (my father in law) around 9:45 after a couple of non starts from others and we headed off into the light sprinkle.
Got out to Great Northern Highway and that sprinkle turned into a nice soaking rain.
Was going to take the windy way up to New Norcia but considering the weather conditions and still unfamiliarity of Bruce with his bike we decided to just head up the highway.
Stopped at Gingers for a quick adjustment for Bruce to stop water running into his boots and then back on the road.
A non eventful trip up to the Scottalian Hotel where we stopped for a quick photo then off we went again.
Arrived at New Norcia Hotel around 11:30 and with the sun just coming out and no wind decided to sit outside.
Of course when everyone else arrived they bought the clouds and cold wind with them so we ended up in the dining room
Had a nice meal (steak sandwich) as the oven was broken so unable to have the standard parmy. Next time I will remember to make a redraw on the mortgage first though ...
One of the ladies on the other table was kind enough to offer to take a few photos. Only 1 was in focus and as soon as photos were taken Wombat and STray wandered back in from wherever they had disappeared to ....
Snapped a few more shots of the bikes before everyone left then headed back home via the wiggly roads through Chittering following Wombat and Turtle.
