I think it is close enough to make it a day run or overnighter. Lets see who is coming and we can set times to probably allow it to be either. Specially for those living in South Geraldton.

Cabins are booked through the Shire Office on 9651 0000.
I spoke to Tracy at the Caravan park about camping, at this stage all camping spots are available.
Tracy's number is  040 9511 400 or the Shire Office will transfer you to her.
Speak to Tracy and ask about bookings. I would think at least for powered sites it would be a good idea.

Winston 66,
Yep sure thing, I have just finished my second trailer build, Tested it out on a trip to Perth and return last week.
Will be looking forward to seeing everyone at both Yuna, and moora, Moora will be an overnighter for me.
There is only one problem that I can envision, It is possible that I could very probably be in Darwin at that time whilst on my way to see a couple of old buddies in Brisbane, but as it is early days yet my travel plans have not been finalied yet.
I dont realy know what I am going to do , and I think it is most probably because I am so comfortable here at home.
I was planing to do the trip to Qld. last year bu had to cancell at the last moment because of bad health, but so far tthis year I am feeling on top of the world.
 Cheers to all,
winston66

Malcolm & I are gunna get an early start prolly ride to Beverley for Breaky then continue on from there.
We'll get to Moora early set up camp then head off for a bit of a ride without the trailers.
Anyone is welcome to join us or meet at Moora but as we are both going to be towing trailers it may be a little boring for others riding with us as we will be limited to 100 KPH

How does this work,

Usually, these events are a make your own way to the meet point. This allows members to arrive from all directions. If some one from the south of Perth is heading north, they will usually post that they are leaving at X time from Y, and if any one wishes to join up for a group ride then let it be so. Others may join in along the way.

OzSTOC rides are more informal than Ulysses or other group rides, the main iam is to meet up have something to eat and have a chat before going home (*or going to bed and continuing in the morning)

Ulysses groups usually travel in hoards making life difficult for everyone else.  :-(((

Been on two rides with them and both were the same.

Looks like we have day trippers and overnighters. Theresa and I have acabin booked at the caravan park. Our plan is a the quicker but longer ride to Moora via New Norica (198 kms 2 hrs 25 mins from Willetton) leaving Perth soon after lunch on the Saturday. This will include a coffee stop probably at Bindoon. Then the shorter but slower ride home through Mogumber (182 kms 2 hrs 49 mins) on the Sunday morning. Quoted distances and times are from my Garmin GPS.

Not that I am aware of, are you thinking for Saturday night?. Once we get numbers from below we can get with the Pub on the need to book.
Below is a list of those attending from an earlier posting .
Will those coming like to copy and unpdate it indicating day tripper or overnight. Also indicate if you are interested in a Pub meal for Saturday night or a do it yourself BBQ at the Caravan Park. Looks like it is about a 20 minute walk from the caravan park to the Hotel.

Dont I know that one, except in my case it was the Consulate in Perth.. For a week n alf they told me they had posted it, but didnt arrive. Rang in desperation on the day before departure, and the fill in girl said she had posted it yesterday... :|||| :||||  The mail sorting room in perth went through the bags (Fri Night) and found it in thr very last bag , I went and collected it at 2230, wife n kids got on the plane at 0700 sat morning   :runyay :runyay :runyay

I always dropped it off and picked it up after that, ( the Embassy in Canberra or Sydney is much better)

Looks as though I will have to back out of this, my wife received confirmation she will be going under the knife on 6th, my duties will be required at home for a week or two.

I hope and pray that things go well for her. I was hoping to go this ride....leave Narrogin, through York (meet up with you for the first time  :thumbsup) and continue north to Moora, but after looking at my calender, this weekend is out for me also  :'(.
Just had a great long weekend though, hockey carnival in Bunbury with the kids, two trips back and forth from Narrogin over that time, 700+km covered, all on the ST1100 :).

Hi John,
Hope your Kidney stones are sorted.
Not 100% sure but would think most overnighters at Moora will probably be on the road by mid Sunday morning, that certin is my plan. Just wouldn't like to see you arrive Sunday expecting to catch up with people only for find most have headed home.

I was working on running up (tagging along) with Pete and Mitch from Mandurah, there schedule was to leave at 07:00 Sunday getting them to Perth at say 08:00 and Moora I would guess about 10:30, I do hope to catch you guys before you head off, where might be a good place to look at that time on Sunday morning, just in case a few straglers are left hanging about.

Hope to see you there mate - John

If you iron it on from inside the shirt the heat only has to penetrate the shirt, not the thickness of the badge

If you iron it on from inside the shirt the heat only has to penetrate the shirt, not the thickness of the badge

Yep you got it, you have to iron it on from the front to line it up and attach it for 20 seconds, then you turn the shirt inside out and iron from the back for 20 seconds, no steam, you also also pre heat the shirt and ironing board so you don't lose any heat away from the badge.... :thumb

Well at least the weather gods smiled on us westies on Saturday. Turned out to ge a great day for a quick ride up to Moora.

There were a few of us there for lunch,

We happened to all meet in the carpark opposite the "Drovers Inn" and most of us made use of the facilites and had a bit of a feed.

After lunch a few more turned up and we made our way to the Caravan Park the usual chinwag and bull session. The late arrivals were getting hungry by 6PM, so we then made our way to the "Moora Hotel" for dinner. Others have photo's of these sessions. Mixed reviews on the food, but we all agreed about the quality of service from the guy that was the barman/kitchenhand/waiter for the night..

We wandered back to the caravan park and Malcolm found another use for an empty beer keg:

The pic also shows some the illustrious W.A. crew that turned up, and yes, it was getting a little chilly by now!

After a nice warm night's sleep in my chalet, I got an early start and rode thru low cloud / fog (  could only do a max of 90k ) all the way to here for breakfast:

It was perfect timing, I got there right on 07:00, just as they opened the doors. After a good breakfast and nice hot coffee I gave my helmet visor a good clean ( amazing the amount of crap in those low clouds! ) and I carried on home and back just after 08:30.

Now for the Yuna FarRide next Saturday.

Ray,

Nice one....   :hatwave I'm bummed out big time. I was really looking forward to this to a) have a ride of course, b) meet some new members, c) and try out the new camera. Unfortunately, my "ride" was only into town to work..... one Powerball....

Geez, you could have had some fun with 'em. You and Malcolm only had to park your rigs across 'em all and then watch them scratch their head to figure out what to do!!!!

Just filled up after the weekend. Theresa and I probably had the shortest run. We did 392 kms using 20.22 litres giving 5.16 l/100 kms or
just over 55 mpg.

5.16 i/km or

That would be 19.38674579624135 Ks/L, or 5.154639175257732 per 100Ks
