Left home at 8:30 am in the convertible to pick up Tipsy, arrived at Tipsy's at just after 9:30 am to find Topsy tasty and rearin' to go.

Straight up the slab to the Bribie Island turn off and onwards to the Sandstone Point Hotel. I missed the turn off and pulled over to the left before the bridge thinking we were going to have to go over the bridge and back to get to the drive way. A few cars went past and then this almighty parting of the traffic occurred which allowed me to just do a u-turn and drive on to the hotel.

On arrival Skip and dBfive were already there. Soon a mob jag arrived and we were watered, fed, and entertained.

After the obligatory photos, speech by Diesel and parting of said compardre, the posse soon broke up and every one headed off on their way.

Another slab run back to Tipsy's and then home.

My fuel consumption today. :grin
(The trip meter is since refuelling.)

After 12 mm rain overnight, it was another perfect QLD day.
The faithful rolled up for Diesel's farewell.

So the real heroine of this story is the poppy farm and not Mrs Diesel  :o

So sorry that we couldn't make it, would have love to have gone. Just by the photos that I have seen it looks like it was a great day, never mind though we will be catching up with Diesel later on in the month.

Hope everyone had a great day.

Cheers

I just record facts.

Cannot thank everyone enough. The day was magnificent, and littered with many of my friends I have made through the Club.

I was totally humbled and in awe of how special OzSTOC RTEs are and how the spirit of Club Members extends far beyond mere acquaintances.

A few surprise drop ins completed the experience.  We even saw the great Tipsy there thanks to Gadget's unselfish act of OzSTOC taxi service.    ++     :rockon

I will miss my mainland friends to the power of great magnitude, and I shall miss riding her wonderful and enchanting roads.

Thanks so mush to the organisers and the good people who both came out and had a great lunch, and those who couldn't make it.     :-++ :-++ :-++

Cheers, Diesel
