My Renewal Assessor and I tested the limits of the Dash 8 in the Qantas simulator and found I could hold off a 36 knot direct crosswind.  It required a bit of fancy footwork as you can see on the rudder of the B777 at the end of the clip.

Another reason I prefer a Chopper, no such thing as cross wind landing or take off....

Thank god things like this is part of my history. Would not like to be there again. On a bike you always can slow down. Up there is a lower speed limit to can't ignore.

Someone once told me that the vision that I posted is from an airfield in South America where there are consistent and strong crosswinds, and aircraft manufacturers use it to undertake practical testing against the aircraft's theoretical crosswind limits.   Hence, all the aircraft in the clip are showing Boeing markings and not those of a commercial carrier.
