Thankfully, the 'Wing doesn't need one.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

I think I've missed something here...  No one else seems to think it's odd, but...
There's a red ST1300 in your shed, Brian??

Hmmm.  It's got that impossibly clean look commonly associated with bikes you own...
Could it be you're a recidivist?

What to do when it's not the best riding weather

We get bloody wet, thats what we do!!!!!!! :well :well

Weather changed yesterday, and it bucketed down just as I left work for home. Left leg was so wet, the water ran down the leg and into my new waterproof Rossi boots. They aint so waterproof when it gets in the hole at the top..

"Shoulda put on the wets you say!! " Dont need em, cos its summer, it was 34 the day before.

Yeah, we get that over this side, too.  A couple of hot days then a cracker storm that might make the next day a wet one.
Shoulda put on the wets.

My theory is I don't leave home on the bike if it's raining or looking like raining (wet season we get bloody big rain drops, they hurt even on a fully faired bike like the ST).  Don't mind so much riding home in the rain because I get the chance to get dried and changed when I get there.  Rarely bother with wet weather gear, you sweat too much and get almost as wet as the rain would make you.... :H

Have to agree with you Wendy having lived in Katherine and Darwin I know all about the rain and yes you get wetter with wets on at least without wets you get a chance to dry out a bit between the dops.
