Coffee Box by Zouki Café at Redcliffe hospital. Dezohn is slowly improving. Giving me cheek because she is on clear fluids and I had a Ham, Cheese & Tomatoe Croissant with a melting moment for dessert. Doesn't come close rig the Farmers Arms roast.

I would just like to thank Barry, Marissa, Brian and all the other OzSToc riders for making both Fred & I most welcome.
Mount Nebo and Glorious were a challenge for me because this was the 1st time to both.
A bit of an eye opener with regards to how other sports bike riders attack both.

What a great day catching up with everyone, as the Cabarlah Pub is only 20 Km from my place I decided to go for a run to Esk Bakery to catch up with 12 of the Brisbane riders for coffee
Then I led them up the hill to Hampton then onto the Cabarlah Pub where we were greeted by another 15-20 OzSTOC members
It was good to catch up with a few that are home from the OzSTOC National Meeting in Perth
After a great meal  and lots of chatter I headed for my 20Km ride home

Stimpy,  all I can offer are some words to make it feel better....

- The weather was awesome  nice cool start
- The bike hummed beautifully not missing a beat
- The food truly Devine .. my steak was this thick
- The company wonderfully inspirational we laughed and laughed...
- The scenery .. you wouldn't have been dead for quids....

It was an awesome day out, Carrol, Draco and myself had an thoroughly enjoyable time

I worked last night finishing at 06:00 so I made my way home had a coffee , woke up Carrol and she agreed to drive so that Draco could attend (As you may be aware Draco just recovered from a heart attack and isn't permitted to ride)

So at 08:00 we headed out up to Caboolture where we were joined by Gaz



We rode out to Esk (and I managed to get a great photo of my odometer showing a countdown )



We met up with a number of the awesome folk attending the RTE, had a cold drink, a little bite to eat and a chinwag for a time then headed out to the RTE with the Legendary Wild Rose leading the way up through the twistys
(He set a great pace, not to fast or to slow )









Anyway we arrived at the Farmers Arms Hotel and met up with the rest of the fine ladies and gents attending the RTE.
We had a chat and a look over the bikes for a bit then entered the venue where we all partook of some great food and drink





   



When we were done and had finished talking we said goodbye and headed back down to Esk for a cold drink then back home (on the way I managed to get another great photo of my odometer showing all the threes )



This was another great RTE to a brilliant venue with AWESOME people (some of the best around)

That's about it for my RR at this time, I will upload some videos from the ride over the next few days

Oh and a idiot female driving a red Nissan Silvia (REGO: 566VDZ) attempted to run me off the road on the way home... stay tuned for the video

It was great to catch up with everyone again. Great roads, great scenery, good food and company always makes for a great day out.
We went back down the Hampton range and home over Mt Glorious. Saw my son zip past in the other direction on his Z750 near the western end of Mt Glorious Rd. So we stopped at the cafe at the top thinking we would wait for him there and have a coffee. True to form Brendan sailed right on past us and waved back at us as I was frantically waving indicating for him to stop :) 

So after a good chat we continued down the mountain. Half way down I received a call from someone advising me that Brendan was stranded on the side of the road between Mt Nebo and Mt Glorious with a broken clutch cable. I couldn't work out how the hell he was behind us and I didn't see him?  So I went back and found him, then rode his bike to the bottom of the mountain and left it at the servo. We called Wayne from Brisbane Bike tow. I have used his service before and he came and collected the bike and took it home to Alexandra Hills. Turns out after riding past us at the Mt G cafe Brendan decided he'd ride the range heading down to Samford and back which is how he came to be behind us :)

Well turns out an expensive little trip home for me, passing landsbough while talking to Pauline on the phone giving an update on my arrival time home the phone went dead and I felt something hit my arm....yep the Sena SMH10 committed hurricurri and fled from my helmet.....

Turned around (dusk was fast approaching) and rode on the shoulder with the hazard lights on and low and behold there it was, picked it up and it was undamaged as it had hit the grass, you beauty, put it back on the helmet took off and went to call home with an update just near the kart track put my hand up and it's gone again....... Got home really upset about it....

Went back down again today for a look walked until I was exhausted (about 100 feet now days) searched for an hour .... Nope she's gone... $180 for a replacement....

So why after thousand of K's did it pop off like that.... I put the 2nd one on and something has shifted....the shark evoline 3 chin bar slices it off the mount like a carving knife.

It's good to see my run of good luck is continuing......
