Remington use to make a range of projectiles called PSP (Pointed Soft Point) thought they had been discontinued yonks ago
Correct!
Pointed Soft Point (PSP) bullets remain very popular for hunting thin skinned game, and for police anti-personnel, use but usually not for general military applications. They may also be referred to as Jacket Soft Point (JSP) depending upon subtleties of the bullet design. They are an expanding design of bullet which can retain better accuracy than hollow point (HP), and are better suited to hunting than Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) which transfer less energy to the target. There are many standard acronyms used for bullet design descriptions, and shooters will be fluent in this bullet language.
