Another Trailer

Got a new toy (a Classic Ultralite trailer) so as I can take Jedi-the-Wonder-Dog on some motorcycle rallies. Planning to put in a caravan / boat style hatch in the lid, this way Jedi will be able to stick his boof head out, catch the breeze, or sit inside and sleep (something he does well and very often).

He will, of course, be well strapped in and held firmly in his harness. 

The Ultralite is very, err .... ultra light, I don't have specs on my (older) model, but some specs on Classic's latest Ultralite are here: http://www.classicind.com.au/Ultralite/ - shyte, only 83kg.  I've heard that Classic are no longer producing trailers.

As seen from these pics, there's plenty of room for Jedi, plus tent, table chair and some other camping gear.

Looks pretty cool, turn a lot of head and would be a conversation starter.  One question I would have is about weight, it looks pretty heavy.  But looks can be deceiving.

Yes, very interesting story (although I really only skimmed through it and dimensions were hard to read), at 287128kg (including spare wheel) I didn't notice how much (in terms of kg) and what sort of gear he carried for comfortable camping.  In my experience, necessary sleeping & seating gear, cooking & drinking supplies, esky & ice add quite a few kg.  I can understand why he upgraded to a Goldwing, particularly without brakes on the trailer.

I think you may have mixed up kilograms and pounds, Michael... 

He listed the weight after his first test ride and quoted 128 kg with the spare wheel adding another 5 kg.
