ALDI TOOLS
« on: January 31, 2016, 04:56:03 PM »
:blu13 For those who like cheap GOOD tools. I bought this set of Allen Keys yesterday at Aldi $5.99. because needed to undo riser plate on ST 1300 (Blue Beast) BUT kept bending normal Allen Keys

this looks pretty cheap, but proved to be very strong

Hope to hear if anyone else got good use of these

Cheers

i think people complained about early stuff. I believe they lifted their game. i have  1/4" socket set, comes with everything and am very happy.
use it a lot. perfect for playing with plastic fairings. just remembering its 1/4" when things get too tight, get out big guns then.

Supercheap Auto had a special on this weekend for Impact Sockets.  These are meant for rattle guns, but are ideal for tough nuts because they are 6 sided rather than the usual 12.  The latter will round off a difficult nut.  I had paid $22 previously for the 17mm one for the rear axle.  This is a set of 10 metric 1/2" drive deep sockets for $51.  I had a $5 loyalty discount, so got 10 sockets in a metal box for just twice the price of one.
Again, it's not Snap-On, but I doubt I can break them- they're solid.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott
