First ride....
« on: March 26, 2012, 11:21:20 AM »
Had a pleasant little jaunt on Saturday. From home, through Lismore to Ballina for an icecream, up to Byron bay and then home again. All up about 130ks. Not very far, but this was a significant ride. It was the first time my wife has been on the bike with me since being struck with serious illness some years ago.Hopefully, this is a sign of better things to come.
Cheers

   Hi Laurie
The most important thing I have learnt when riding with LOTO  :-++ on the back is to stop for a break when SHE wants to.
That way she thinks she is in control and is usually happy to go for a ride.  :whistle
If she's happy, I'm close to happy.  :grin

The family that rides together abides together.

For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Well done to get your wife on your bike. I had my wife on my also for the first time in about 10 years last weekend also. She sat on it in the shed. That was a great start for us. Congratulations Laurie :beer

Hi ya Laurie...

Well I'm already logged in...needed to post a reply to the thoroughly enjoyable ride me neighbour over the back invited me to and tops destination Marcus chose on Sunday...so as some people know that we know each other, and as this really is a special occasion as I am very well aware...I'd best contribute a comment...so here goes then...

...What the Hell were you thinking!!! ...gallivanting all over the northern Rivers on a Saturday arvo!!!!!

Have you taken leave of your senses and forgotten the foreigner I got you to do :eek :||||...this is going to cost me another bottle of cheap Merlot isn't it :cop
