Ah. I think it is in Victoria, I seem to remember some road signs referring to being on a certain degree.

Possibly western Victoria, on the Western Highway?

Now you're on the right track.  I've seen this sign in two different locations.  Strangely the two roads share the same name for the same reason but are not connected.  This is one of those.

It is, but one of two (that I know of).  Now which one?

On the 35 parallel south, approx. 12km east of the Robinvale - Sea Lake Road.

Well, it must be the other one, on Parallel Road, near the Millers Tank Bushland Reserve.

Hasn't been anything at Bolton to the NW for around 150 years, Manangatang is probably the closest town (pop. 479 in the 2011 census) to the SW has gone backwards and is not far behind.

Damn, Hell, Poop!!!

I've overlooked an obvious clue, there is a sealed road in the pic.  And the sealed road is the Mallee Highway, so the pic is at the intersection of the Mallee Highway & Meridian Road.

Whew!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Manangatang is correct.  The bitumen in my photo is indeed the Mallee Highway.  Over to you.
