On Saturday, after the Maintenance Day, I went for a cruse with JF3000 over Clear Mountain

While stopped on the side of the road looking over the view we spotted a

heading past so I waved like a crazy man... and they rode past

But they came back and pulled up

It was CallMeSteve and his partner on his Nearly New ST1300

We had a good chat and after a while they continued on their ride

a little later so did we

It was good to meet you both and I look forward to seeing you at an RTE soon

Lol. I was tickled to see a couple of STs on the side of the road with their owners waving like crazy men, so I said to Wifie “the’re riding STs. We need to go back”. I think Ruth was a tad nervous about meeting up with “bikie types” but Shiney and JF3000 were surprisingly normal and apparently quite harmless lol.

Great to chat guys. As a newbie it’s good to find folks who share my new interest.

Recently pulled up behind another 1995 ST1100. This one was white and ridden by a chap from Katherine in the NT. In Canberra at the time and he tells me he purchased the bike a few years back from the east coast of Queensland and remembered that it had an OZSTOC sticker on it when he purchased it. He had a round duffle bag made from white leather across the rear of the seat which looked great. Have a photo but don't know how to put it up.

Saw my semi -usual blue ST1100 on Portrush Road at Tusmore last Friday night, just before 6 as I was leaving work. Top box fitted.

Gave a wave, but was coming out of the sidestreet by work, so was missed.

If you use the forum & travel along Portrush Road in Adelaide as a daily commute or otherwise, say hi on the forum, great to meet any ST riders.

Slowed down in case of breakdown, but rider in hi-vis vest merely 'bleeding the brake line' behind a tree. Wave and proceeded, Sandra & self having a chuckle
