A new 'Freedom Machine'

The Incredible Flyboard Air. ...... No, its not CGI.. this is FOR REAL!
“The board has 4 small turbojet engines (used in RC model aircraft) for lift and 2 smaller ones on the side for stabilization.
The backpack is full of fuel (not flotation). There is a remote to control the vertical thrust.
The control of the craft is through shifting one’s balance (along with a computer to aid in stabilization).”

Google 'flyboard air' for more info ... Military is interested... I would hate to guess the release price.

Way to much for me - now this sort of tech on a motorcycle might be more my thing

Would be a great escape mechanism on the bike to avoid an impending impact.
Ejector seat, anyone?

One naysayer claims it's all a hoax, done with CGI, but Guinness recognised it, and all the videos look authentic, although the editing does look a bit suss in places.

For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine.

The down draft on the water would be hard to CGI unless you were Industrial Light and Magic or equivalent.

If this technology filtered down to Bikes, it would bring a whole new meaning to 'overtaking' a slower driver.
Lane splitting? .. lane changing?... MEH! ... I will 'overtake' him instead...

I started with go-overtake but then settled on hovertake.
