Cheap but effective GPS mount for ST1100
« on: January 29, 2017, 08:28:03 PM »
Hey guys, photos to follow, but I thought you might be interested in my GPS mount on my ST1100.
It consists of a magnetic phone/GPS mount that can be found on Ebay for all of $1.95

I glued it to my handlebar cover and glued the plate to the back of my 5 inch Hema GPS mount.
I rode up to Birwood, Strathalbyn, Meadows and back to Wynn Vale through the City (Adelaide) and the thing never moved, was easy to read and can be removed and stowed in seconds.
Power comes the cigarrette lighter supply plugged into a dual-socket adapter that lives in the left-hand fairing pocket.
Not a waterproof solution but a workable, cheap option. I'm satsisfied.
