2008 ST1300A for sale
« on: April 13, 2017, 03:49:36 PM »
Greetings everyone,
The time has finally come for me to trade down to something smaller (read lighter) and I now have a shiney red Yamaha MT09 Tracer sharing the garage with my Candy Red ST1300A.
unfortunately a two bike lifestyle is not sustainable in our household so my trusty ST1300A has to go. I have owned this bike for the past seven years and it has literally taken Ros and I all over this great country of ours without missing a beat in the 90,000+ Kms we have ridden her.
If anyone is interested, or knows of someone who might be interested in a 1st class ST at a reasonable price here is the link to my Bike Sales Advert http://www.bikesales.com.au/private/sse-ad-4675823/2008-honda-st1300-abs/
OzStoc Members feel free to PM me and I would be willing to talk price a little if it meant my wonderful ST would go to a good home.

( here is a pic of the old and the new)

Cheers
Dick B

After all the trips you have done, it must feel like you are selling one of the kids.    :eek

Good luck with the sale, and the new bike.

I'll be keen to hear your impressions of the Yammie, which was never on my radar as an alternative, as a lighter option to the ST.

So far so good Pete,
100kg lighter than the ST is a good start. Comes c/w panniers, screen and upright seating position. Their "comfort" seat is also quite good. Need to crank the 850cc donk a bit more of course and do more gear work but it certainly gets along briskly enough two-up. Haven't had it on a trip yet so that will be the acid test. The general word is that the MT-9 engine is "bullet proof". Perhaps I could do a ST/MT-09TRA critique down the track.
Cheers

Sad to see it go Dick but it's inevitable due to their weight playing havoc with younger and older riders alike.
It's still a very nice bike,priced well.
I look forward to seeing the new yammy at Wooli  :beer

Great to see it's still in the family.

Now waiting for the new owner to "own up"!   :popcorn
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott
