For those out there that may be interested in looking at a reasonable looking bike with half decent KLMS?

It's a ST1100AY or 2001 model. Not sure why they say there's no build date as it says 09/2001 on the compliance plate which is attached at the factory when built.

 Looks very much another re-finished x-police bike, or better put, a bike brought in with police (et al), in mind, but never used for purpose. Praps one of the many I saw at Honda MPE all those years ago. So could be a good buy for a bog standard 1100. Mind U, suppose you need to add a road worthy and rego costs to the final auction price which could mount up a tad depending on what State it ends up in.

Just did a VIN check and it comes up as a 2000 police model. This another topic but it seems at odds with the compliance rules.


"When VSS are satisfied that the vehicle complies, the Administrator of Vehicle Standards issues a document known as a Compliance Plate Approval. This is the authority to allow the manufacturer to fit compliance plates to vehicles of the specified make/model."

Definitely a Police model, has the speedo in 2K increments, volt meter, Hazard and 9 switches on left fairing, no headlight adjust in view, Police switch block on right grip.
