It seems that Photobucket no longer allows third party hosting unless you pay money http://photobucket.com/pricing This link causes an error so I added a picture for the pricing.

To show the photos I put on here and other forums in the past and in the future will now cost $US39.99 a month.

Not sure how far back this goes but all I see for every picture I've posted is shown below

I have a Yahoo email so I signed into Flickr and I can use this for now.

Test photo

From photobucket - just linked

Might be something to do with bandwidth as all the photos are shared. Maybe I went past a set free limit.

My photobucket account has been pretty crap of late... ages to upload (if it doesn't fail) and bombarded with advertising.  I tried to use imgur as an alternative but it wasn't any better.

I know mine was ok last week until at least Wednesday and Flickr seems to work though it's a few more steps to get the IMG (BBcode) code for forum posting. I've updated the pictures on my last few posts and anything prior I can upload as needed or requested.

$40 a month is ridiculous, and no one will pay... soon they will close down, you will see... no one can justify that amount of money...
How much is Flickr ?

At the moment it's free and you get 1TB of space for storage. Not as easy as Photobucket when it comes to uploading into an album as you need to upload first then create the album and move the pictures into it.

I have a friend who uses flickr.  He said it used to be a lot easier than it is now.  I think that those changes were about eighteen months ago.

PB was so slow I opted a while back to go ad-free.  It's $2.49 per month and I figure some things are worth paying for.
That's a lot less than your $40 per month, which is in fact their top plan and lets you have 500mb of storage.

And it's the only plan that allows you to use the IMG code so you can see the pic in the forum where it used to be allowed on all their plans including the free one.

Isn't it incredible how technology goes... I have a bookkeeping program I use for my business, which has just undergone a major upgrade, but instead of being better, it is now unusable!! How it goes... even Facebook has become more complicated to use...

Probably the phrase I have uttered the most since the turn of the century is "why can't people leave sh*t alone?  It was working perfectly before."  I am currently contemplating buy a mac for this very reason.

I have two office discs (Office XP and Office 2000) that run quite ok on Vista, WIN7, WIN8.1 and WIN10 and I only use Excel and Word as that's all I need so that's all I install.

It was better back in the days when you only needed to buy one disc for all the PCs in your house or Company so no need for the current yearly fee.

We do have a limited (basic) 2010 Student Office edition which came as part of the PC installed bundle on Heather's previous PC. For a fee it could have been upgraded to the full 2010 Office but again Excel and Word is all we needed and not something Heather used anyway. This version can't be moved from one PC to the next as far as I know.

I ran those for years after they came out.  I eventually caved in and got Office 2010 because I couldn't read docx and xlxs files.  I found a cheap genuine copy on fleabay.  Like you, that's the only two programmes I use.
AND, I was perfectly happy with the earlier versions which were much more user-friendly.  Damned "progress"!

MS released a compatibility pack for the earlier versions so they could open the 2007 and newer files.

I deleted my photobucket account. They obviously have no skills in discussing options with their customers before they went ahead and banned 3rd party hosting.
