« on: November 02, 2017, 07:44:07 PM »
Dreaming of doing a lap of Australia its why i bought the ST :13Candy. Anyone done it?? Would be good to get some advice off anyone whos done it. Im wanting to stick to highway 1 only doing it for an endurance ride not sight seeing bucket list kind of thing😎. Looking for some MCL pegs if anyone is selling. Cheers Mick

Hi Mick,

Big Ted is currently doing a lap around the Paddock.

TJ189 has done it in, I think, under 9 days.

Wombattle has done lots of long distance rides including many IBA rides.

And that's only the ones I know about.

I am meeting Big Ted tomorrow at Devonport when he gets off the tinnie.

If you wanna join us for brekky/coffee at Latrobe from about 8am we'd be glad to see you.

You can ask him all sorts of questions. PM or Txt me if you want.

Cheers, Diesel

Here's my travels around Oz, and there are still bits of Highway 1 that I haven't travelled.   :thumb

Ros and I did it in 2013 Clockwise in 90 days staying at Pubs and Motels clocking up just over 20k. Definitely not an endurance run but a great holiday none-the-less. We did a write up that was published in the Australian Motorcyclist Magazine that might be of interest. I have posted a copy of the Article in my dropbox. https://www.dropbox.com/s/qqipgr7bh2e52pm/Round%20Oz%20Article%202013.pdf?dl=0
