TomTom Rider GPS

TomTom Rider GPS

The Good:
•It works well.
•All parts necessary to mount and operate the TomTom are supplied.
•Maps - QLD, NSW, VIC & TAS - perhaps all of OZ, have not used it in SA, WA or NT, so I don't know.

Comes with:
•GPS
•Active dock and power lead
•Passive dock
•12v power outlet lead - unit has been powered satisfactorily for the past two years.
•Sunvisor
•Handlebar RAM mount
•RAM fittings
•Assorted screws, etc...

The Bad:
•Active dock needs a repair, one of the springs  - to technical for me to fix
•Battery has been on the way out for three years, hasn't bothered me as I powered it through the active dock and then the 12v power outlet lead.

Bragging Rights:
•The memory indicates someone has ridden the Mighty ST1300 at 252km/h (it could have been the CB1300).  This was NOT me - too scary for this little duck.
•I won't erase the memory if the purchaser wants to brag to, and show his mates, his new top speed.

Items are located in St Helena, around 20km (as the crow flies) NE of Melbourne CBD.   Will post Australia wide.

$200 OBO

What model Rider is it Michael?
A man rides on his STeed, says “Why am I short of attention? Got a short little span of attention”.

You can call me Steve, with apologies to Paul Simon.

What model Rider is it Michael?

On the rear it states:

MODEL 4GC01 - hope that helps.

It's an older model, I bought it second hand in 2013 or 2014, I checked from whom (for the GPS sun visor thread), but couldn't find any record.

I forgot to mention ad, it has a Bluetooth function, but I have not been able to pair it with my iPhone of Sena intercom.  Whether that's a problem with the GPS, the iPhone, the intercom or me.  If I was betting man, I'd say me.  Come to think of it, I had problems pairing my NavMan as well.

I've also noticed that the little flap, that covered the mini USB port on the underside, it missing.  I think I removed that when the active port springs gave up.  I was on a road trip when that happened, so powered the GPS via the mini USB / power outlet lead.  That was in March 2015, you don't need to rush these things, and it worked well anyway.

There's a lot more gear there than I got with my Rider 450. All I got was the USB cable, ram mount, motorcycle mount and it's power cable.
