Looks we're getting a solar farm

I have seen ads for employment in the supermarket for the construction of this

Makes sense to use something that is there nearly every day (the sun) and the wind when it blows.

SA is going to need all the help we can get with power generation.
While I applaud the introduction of renewables, the transition needs to be orderly and affordable.  I suspect energy generators are taking advantage of our high power prices to opportunistically line their pockets in setting up fancy batteries, and the Peterborough and Port Augusta solar generators.   They won't bring power prices down.

It's not the generators but the retailers who are ripping everyone off.

The retailers still expect us to pay for solar/wind power at the same cost or even more than coal/gas fired power. With solar/wind power there is only infrastructure costs (includes wages etc.) all of which are tax deductable

No, but they never used to go up 50% every year...
