WTB - ST1300 Riders Seat
« on: March 16, 2018, 11:27:42 AM »
I'm after an OEM riders seat for my ST1300.    When I went to a Sergeant seat I gave away my riders seat, but am now looking for one to send over for a RDL conversion.   :popcorn

Only the rider's seat, doesn't the pillion count?

I have one surplus to my current needs Pete.  Would prefer a loan only, but could be persuaded otherwise.

Post or PM me your mobile no. and I'll call to discuss.

PM Sent....   Chris is very happy with her Sergeant Pillion, and doesn't do the long distances that I do when on my own.

Here's hoping the Sergeant pillion will fit with the RDL rider...
My experiences with standard the ST1300 seats only after fitting sheepskins wasn't good.
Get back the rider seat, Williamson- I might be looking to borrow before long.  I hadn't even thought of getting just the rider seat.  The cost of the RDL has kept me out of that market.  How much for just the front seat from RDL?

If they are the same as an OEM non-police front seat, I'd be most interested in one.   :thumbs    I might need some input from our Police Version ST experts.   :popcorn

How much for just the front seat from RDL?

It looks like it's $510 USD for just the front seat.

I don't think the police riders seat has the bracket at he back of the seat on the ST1300 like the normal seat has.

Tis true glen, the police seat has a different mount for the hump, but you just need to change this out for a pillion fixing.

I'm still unclear.   Will a Police front fit in place of an OEM riders seat, and still allow the pillion seat to lock into place?   :popcorn

The police seat is exactly the same as the Oem seat except the bracket on the back.

You need to purchase the bracket for a pillion seat and swap the bracket

No I didn't.  The Sargent Front and Back fitted without any problems.   If I need to, I can probably get a look at the bracket on an OEM from a local OzSTOC member and make a copy.  It's not listed as a part by Honda.

Thanks for the suggestions and input.   I've bought a police front from Bloodbikes, so thanks heaps Pete.    I will need to fabricate the necessary bracket, and I'm hoping I can "encourage" Langers to bring his bike around once he's home from his trips, to share a  :beer  and let me make template from his bracket.

I can feel a RDL coming my way....    :runyay

Mmmm ...... if the bracket is easily removed, eg. a couple of tech screws (or similar), I can remove mine (from the spare saddle), and post it to SA.  Given the time difference and backward nature of SA / AustPost, it should only take a few days.

I must admit my last two purchases came from Canada and both arrived way quicker than stuff I have ordered from New South Wales.
