....... The dirty laundry can always be binned
In 2011, on the ride home from the Ulysses AGM at Newcastle, I had a little detour via the Bega District Hospital and then National Private Hospital in Canberra. The Mighty CB1300 and most of my luggage was stranded, sitting lonely a shed at the rear of the Grand Hotel in Bega.
RACV Extra Cover took care of the CB - it was either a long or slow trip home, as it took three weeks. I was home and up and about by then, so supervised it being safely parked in the garage. I still was not fit enough for any tinkering with the bike, and there wasn't much thought to unpacking my gear. That would have to wait for a couple of more weeks.
When I did get to unpack everything, I remembered that the tent had been packed-up in the wet. I was expecting it to be mouldy as I unrolled it, but no it was fine. There must be something said for the synthetic materials some tents are made of these days.
Some jocks and socks that were rolled up next to the tent didn't fare so well. The wheelie bin next to the garage door came in handy.
