Been looking at Bagster tank cover and tank bags
Not sure if they make a tank bag that clips on using the tank cover
Not interested in magnetic tank bags
At the moment I have neither
Would appreciate  any help on this topic

Magnetic covers are no good on the 1100 as the "Tank" is plastic, unless you glue big magnets on the inside.

The Bagster tank bag clips very effectively onto the tank "bra".  I use mine on every long trip.  Not cheap, and not leather, but top quality vinyl. Will expand to over-size.  Made in France, but the sell through UK (or used to).

Comes with shoulder straps to convert to backpack.  Has useful side pockets and transparent map top. Not waterproof, but comes with a plastic cover.

A moderate nuisance when refuelling, but only seconds to release two clips on the refuelling side and seconds to refasten.  Not helpful on full lock turns, so real care needed then.
Quite secure on the bike, but not thief-proof, even if you padlocked the zips- anyone can undo the mounting clips.
The "bra" is a bit of a trick to install at the front, but is secure, and can't be removed without taking the seat off.

I hate to be a nervous buyer, but it doesn't really say it suit a 1300, because of the handlebars when turning.

I have a Bagster tank cover and bag, it's a pretty good, quality piece of kit. 

A moderate nuisance when refuelling, but only seconds to release two clips on the refuelling side and seconds to refasten.  Not helpful on full lock turns, so real care needed then.

Yep, a nuisance when re-fuelling, but no more so than the magnetic bags (Hmmm ...... I still have two sitting in a cupboard in the garage) I've had on other bikes. 

Re. magnetic bags, the Driirider tank bag on had on the CB1300 for around 100,000km was okay, some scratching but no more or less than I would have got without it.

No problems for me on full lock turns - don't do that when riding, but it has been known to press the horn button when reversing into a parking space, startles riders next to you.

Time consuming to install but secure and ain't gunna get pinched.

and full lock.  You still get full lock, but your hand is pushed against the grip.

No problems for me on full lock turns - don't do that when riding, but it has been known to press the horn button when reversing into a parking space, startles riders next to you.

Abe's son makes a $20 device which prevents that and also aids in locating the horn when you need it urgently.

I have both the Bagster cover and tank bag. I never use the tank bag because I just don't like something so wide in front of me (actually that's not entirely true, I often have it attached to the back tray which normally has the top box and when I don't have a pillion). I use a smaller magnetic tank bag on top of the bagster cover and make use of the 2 plastic locator clip things on the bagster at the front (forward of the fuel tank cap) to clip the magnetic tank bag to the bagster and the magnets hold the rest in place without scratching the tank.
