Our Church presents a Carols event every year on the local school oval.  Rehearsals go on for weeks before and it is a big production with a choir of fifty and about the same number of performers on stage.  It attracts over 4000 people.  I'm usually a gofer but this year on the morning of the event I was asked if I would operate the follow-spot.  The last time I did that was for a few years in the mid 70s when I was lighting tech for a small town repertory group.  It was a hoot!  I got to ride up on a scissor lift which was my vantage point.  Not having been to rehearsals I was learning the sequence on the fly.  We had headphone intercom and at one point the Director said "Standby for MC entering left." For some reason I had the spot lined up at the right and the MC entered in the dark to which the voice in my ears yelled "The OTHER left!"

Anyway, I trust all the Ozstocers have a really great time with family and friends and maybe think a little about "the Reason for the Season".
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

"The OTHER left!"

Ha. love that. It's always useful to have more than one left, just to cater for the people who put their backs to the stage. Its hard to please both lots at the same time though.

Glad you had a good night - the summer weather in Brisbane  makes it a tough time of year to be running outdoor events because you never know until the last minute what you are going to get.

Love it Pete.  Thanks.

Here's another one which gives me goosebumps, from a-Capella group Pentatonix.
