Sunlands was a great place to stay, enjoyed my stay there last visit, and theres a great Chinese just around the corner...

I spent the day scratching about with a few jobs, and then went for a ride north on the stunning Captain Cook Highway, and stopped at Ellis Beach Bar & Cafe for a cold drink. Sorry but I forgot to take the Spot. On the way back I went to the supermarket to get a frozen pie to have with some veges for tea. Back home and I find that they are vegan pies, and that no animals were harmed in their production. Bugger!! I had hoped that a nice fat cow had given up it's life for me. When I opened the packet I find that the bloody things are uncooked and I don't have an oven. Tea tonight will be interesting.

Just a casual run for the morning, now back at the Sunland park.

Went for a beaut ride, as you can see. It was as "enthusiastic " ride up the mountain to Kuranda, where most of the market stalls were closed, so perhaps I was too early. Coffee and a look around at Mareeba, and then down the mountain towards Mossman and back home on the twisting and scenic Captain Cook Highway. This great "fang" was curtailed by a long line of traffic behind a slow car that failed to use any of the many slow vehicle turnouts.
Some car owners could save a lot of money by purchasing vehicles without the optional rear vision mirrors, cause they NEVER BLOODY USE THEM...

Rant over and I feel better.

Off to Charters Towers with an early start tomorrow.

Last time I stopped at Charters Towers, I stayed in a unit at the Country Road motel.
They supplied great home cooked meals, (room delivered) was a pleasure to stay there.
