light switches question please
« on: April 22, 2019, 06:17:01 PM »
hi , can someone just confirm the left and right hand headlight switches usage.
left hand has what looks like a low and high beam   right hand side has 3 positions , one looks like daytime running/side lights.  then a low beam  and then main beam.
is this correct.
don't have the manual sorry.   I have led bulbs

Simmo,

If youre talking about the police switch block, then the light switch isnt used (7, 8 switch) the top 123 switch is (was ) used for strobe lights. the ST has the head lights permanently on unless the wiring has been modified.

The left switch is High.low beam

Which switch, this is the police switch, and should have no effect on the lighting. The high beam switch on the left grip should switch both lights (you may have a bulb with no high beam filament) also blue light on dash should come on.

Yours may be a UK version of the switch block.

The positions should have no effect unless rewired. On my bike they are used for enabling the driving lights.
