Thursday afternoon ride.
« on: May 16, 2019, 10:27:34 PM »
I just had to get out on the bike today. So I did. A quiet ride through Yarra Glen to Yea, Flowerdale, yea again, Flowerdale again and to Whittlesea and home. Verry light traffic and from just south of Yea the weather changed from a sunny balmy 12 C to a chilly 9C so Going further north was not a pleasant option.
It was a cool ride but very enjoyable. Photo of spot map below.

I certainly understand Popeye - I did the same with a couple of mates yesterday (Wednesday), both with new bikes - one was a HD Sports Glide (new) and the other was a BMW K1300S (2010 I think). We went through the hills to Mt Pleasant, Springton, Eden Valley to Tanunda for lunch then to Kersbrook and parted company soon after, (I went back through the hills to buy an apple and blackberry pie at Verdun), the other two came upon a rider down with police and ambos - he's in a critical condition at the RAH - a sobering reminder that we've got to be bloody careful out there. A great day nonetheless.
