 :bl11 Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the inclusion. I'm from the northern end of the Goldy and have been riding bikes from before I can remember on a farm at Collarenebri NSW. I commute from Hollywell to Brissie 4 days out of 10. I already have a BMW F800GS that I love but don't want to use it as a highway warrior. After looking for 6 months and not really knowing what I was looking for, I had the opportunity to pick up a 1999 ST1100 with 77000km on the clock. After researching like a madman and seeing the longevity of the engines I jumped onto it and managed to snag it for $2700. Happy with that. The bike is sensational and ticks every box I wanted for a commuter. I have only added a new set of Pilot Road 4's, a tall screen, bar risers, and an original seat from a worn Corbin. \

Philthy Phil

Good to see another Queenslander on the Forum.  My "welcome pack" is over at your question regarding maintenance.
For the modern man who lives in the city, riding a bike might be one of the only ways to escape the humdrum monotony. To take off and ride. To be both at one with nature and one with the bike. To feel masculine. Adam Piggott

Hi pmuller and welcome to OzSTOC from up near Mackay.    :hatwave
Ourselves, Shiney & Gadget have organised some Qld RTE's (Ride-To-Eat... drive or ride any breed of STeed/motorbike to a cafe,
meet up with other OzSTOCers, eat nice stuff  :EatCake,
talk about bike stuff, drink lotsa coffee, head home, repeat when the next RTE rolls around)... and at a Maryborough OzSTOCers' suggestion, we're coming your way… kinda...
