Somewhere local?  Good luck, unless you pull up a bit of grass and roll your swag out under the stars.   But isn't it only 250km each way for you?  Might include a bit of gravel.

If you're travelling via the outer-metro area, I'm sure someone will offer some backyard space for your swag, or even a downstairs bed.

In the first post I included a possible route from St Helena to Walhalla.  A minor variation would be this detour.



Only approx. 20km of gravel, but good gravel and ST1300 friendly.

Pencil me in. Are the fires anywhere near there? My Aunt has a holiday house at Swift's Creek and thought she have lost it

All being well I should be ok for this one too. Re fires we shall have to see. Pretty sure I read Omeo and Swifts Creek escaped the fire  and are a fair way away.
Pretty much anything could happen in a few weeks though.
