Guys,Need you help My ST1100 xPolice bike has just decided to play up on starting.The ignition lights dont come on only the oil light .Then press the switch to start dead but it has a new battery reading 12 amps.Keep pushing this in then it starts after some 12 times .After this initial crap turn the bike off try to restart no problems .Any help will be appreciated

Give the start switch a bit of a spray with RP7 or similar, this will clean out any built up crud in the switch.
P.S. I think you mean the gauge reads 12 Volts, not amps...

I Agree with Brock. Have a police ST1100 myself and had the very same issue. Spray the kill switch and ignition switch. Dirty contacts possible cause.
