Having done my cadetship with CSR I worked with engineers who worked for CSR at Wittenoom. They said the dust was very bad.
I earnt my pocket money working in a brake specialists on a Saturday morning.
We would pull the brake drums off trucks and blow the dust out with compressed air.
It would be Sunday night before I stopped blowing dust out of my nose.
I guess we are all very different in how different cancers affect us.
The main mine was in Wittenoon Gorge which is a beautiful spot and I have swum there and camped overnight. The road that was blocked off by the sign in the documentary leads to Yampire Gorge which is another lovely Gorge.
Wittenoom is on the northern side of Karijini National Park which has even more spectacular gorges.
Probably as spectacular as any in Australia.
