Thanks Shiney,
Had a great ride down, traffic was pretty good for the Coast highway on what turned out to be such a nice day.
Like Shiney was saying, my ride was one way down and tow-truck back home. Arthur my Towie for the drive back was good company and I can safely say that Natural Cafe has no seating available in the Car park for which I spent some considerable time waiting for my Tow back home. (Air Hawk bike seat is great for sitting in car parks waiting for Tow Trucks, if you ever find yourself in such a situation.)
I'm certainly glad I did decide to just get a Tow. Problem wouldn't have been fixed in the car park. We tried hard though and like Shiney said the bike did start, but as soon as I turned the lights on, the engine stalled and wouldn't start again.
What I couldn't see in the bright sun was that the Indicators and Park lights had stayed on while the key was removed and so the battery just drained of all power.
Once home, I've been pulling the plastic off the bike and I think I've found the problem. Burnt out Pin 1 on the large beige multi-connector left hand side near the cylinder head. Seems a common Earthing problem. I'm going to try the suggested fix contained in this post.

Shiney, I'll be dropping by with the tools you leant me that day soon. Hopefully on the bike. (fingers crossed).
P.S. - Yes, I will be increasing my on-board tool kit for any future problems down the road. (Not quite to the level of Shiney and Draco at this point in time.)
Cheers!
