Sadly a motorcyclist was intentionally run off the road and killed 2 days ago at Natural Bridge.

2 men have been charged with murder tonight and have been remanded to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Carrol and I had a great time with Draco & Ros, niftynev19 and tow others that joined us.
It turns out that just after I had spoken to staff about OzSTOC stopping by for lunch the Cafe had sold (3 weeks ago).
After the sale the new owners decided to renovate so it was shut when we arrived.

Anyway after everyone had arrived we decided to head back down the road to another shop for a bite to eat.

When we began to head off niftynev's bike stopped running.
We checked it over and managed to get it to start but it again stopped working and we couldn't get it going again (the fuel pump wouldn't start).

After a while nev decided to get a tow and everyone else headed off for a feed.

We had a bite to eat and a drink then decided to check out Natural Bridge.

We had a good time checking it out then headed back home.

Thanks to everyone that was able to make it, and I hope nev gets his bike fixed soon.

Cheers
Shiney

Thanks Shiney,
Had a great ride down, traffic was pretty good for the Coast highway on what turned out to be such a nice day.
Like Shiney was saying, my ride was one way down and tow-truck back home. Arthur my Towie for the drive back was good company and I can safely say that Natural Cafe has no seating available in the Car park for which I spent some considerable time waiting for my Tow back home.  (Air Hawk bike seat is great for sitting in car parks waiting for Tow Trucks, if you ever find yourself in such a situation.)
I'm certainly glad I did decide to just get a Tow. Problem wouldn't have been fixed in the car park. We tried hard though and like Shiney said the bike did start, but as soon as I turned the lights on, the engine stalled and wouldn't start again.
What I couldn't see in the bright sun was that the Indicators and Park lights had stayed on while the key was removed and so the battery just drained of all power.
Once home, I've been pulling the plastic off the bike and I think I've found the problem. Burnt out Pin 1 on the large beige multi-connector left hand side near the cylinder head.  Seems a common Earthing problem. I'm going to try the suggested fix contained in this post.

Thanks Shiney and all for helping me out on Sunday.
Shiney, I'll be dropping by with the tools you leant me that day soon. Hopefully on the bike. (fingers crossed).
P.S. - Yes, I will be increasing my on-board tool kit for any future problems down the road. (Not quite to the level of Shiney and Draco at this point in time.)

Cheers!  :blu13
