One of my many hobbies....
« on: February 12, 2022, 09:28:09 PM »
One of my many hobbies is making jewellery. I'm actually a qualified jewellery manufacturer and repairer (completed my apprenticeship in 1995) however for a while I had not been making anything after stupidly selling off all of my equipment....a long story for another time.

I've been building up my workbench and tools again over the past year and getting back in to it. Might have to look at some OzSTOC designs.  :think1

Many years ago, a couple of guys came up with an interesting design for a pendant and gave it to one of the ladies working behind the bar in the RAAF base.

It was a wood screw braised to a large U, and gold plated in the base electro platers..

She loved he gold screw U..

Its a true story, I was there..

I love your work.    Sadly, I don't have an artistic "designing" bone in my body.

Your spring water metalwork looked pretty artistic to me.

I copied it from someone else, so it's not a StinkyPete original.

Thats seriously cool!

Personally, I am completely lacking in both artistic qualities and fine motor skills.  Oh, and patience as well.  That's three strikes against me so I can really appreciate someone who can do this sort of thing.

Me too.  You can signing, dancing and a few other things to that.  I do like my cooking though.  🤣

I'm a big fan of cooking too.    Not that I do much of it but I really like the bit that comes between the cooking and the stacking of the dishwasher.   :grin

Nice work there Dale. I’ve been purchasing jewellery on my travels for gifts to my Mum and other family and friends. I’ll keep you in mind when next time I want a stunning gift.
Like others I don’t have those skills needed anymore to produce such fine work. Well done.
