A decent mechanic
« on: April 09, 2022, 09:38:59 AM »
Hi guys, I have been off the bike due to my back injury and an electrical failure on my st1100.
Back is sort of repaired, bike is not.
Rode the bike to work in early December, hopped on to come home, merged at Yatala, opened it up for the drag to the speed cameras, then nothing, just shut down.
Trailered it to a recommended shop near my home and they said I'll get it back before Xmas.
I picked it up and was told it was a sensor relay that had failed and had been bypassed. Fuel pump now had power.
I rode off and near fell off and returned it coughing and stuttering.
It stayed there till last week when I was told it was too old to waste money on.
It had never run anything but smoothly in the 3 years I'd owned it.
Anyone know a mechanic that can actually mechanic in Brisbane?
Dean
