I know what you mean. My mum and dad lived at Ulladulla for many years and after dad died the old corona he owned needed to come back to Victoria with us. Took it for a little drive to check it out and the slack in the steering made it impossible to drive. So. Went back to the mechanic who said he was saving dad a bit of cash as he was a pensioner by not fixing the car after the annual inspection. I understand but at what cost. Safety!
So we fixed it before bringing it home.
Dont ask me about the idea of annual checks!!!
