New member intro

Just a much belated intro (signed up months ago been busy with other stuff life thrown at me)

Current owner of a 2003 ST1300 (and a 2014 Guzzi V7 special but lets not get too off topic here)

Owned the ST1300 for about 6 years and done a lot of K's on it but recently had health issues and not been riding as much as I'd like  and much the same time some utter b*tard tried to steal it  damaging some stuff when they tried to break the steering lock and then  when it fell over when they got it off the centre stand (and probably het the disklock on the back they wouldn't have seen)
so my first post is going to be aboutstuff relating to get it properly sorted (its running and ridable but not happy to do long miles on it until fixed)

anyway here I am

That is the first theft attempt I have heard of, they dont seem overly attractive to thieves for some reason.

probably more drunken opportunistic attempt rather than a serious/professional attempt, either that or a pissed off neighbourhood Karen of the "loud pipes piss off people" type (has Staintune "remove baffle for track use only" pipes so can be/is annoyingly loud at startup and  idle)

Welcome to the forum Mark WA, sorry to hear about your ST being damaged, I understand your pain :'(
I have had two ST1300s damaged by grubs in Brisbane city a few years back :cuss

The first time was a drunk, I managed help the Police catch the guy and he was charged.
The second time was a street kid, he was also apprehended by Police and taken to court but they let him off :fp

Anyway I hope you are able to get all the repairs done for a reasonable price and get back out on the road soon :runyay
